Imphal, December 22 2020: In view of the coming Christmas and New Year celebrations, the State Government has permitted gathering of upto 50 percent of the hall capacity, with a ceiling of 200 persons in closed spaces and in open spaces keeping the size of the ground/space in view, with strict adherence to Covid appropriate behaviour.

An order to this effect was issued by the Home Department today and the new order has come following requests from some organisations.

Further night curfew shall be imposed from 10 pm to 4 am on all days except in the intervening nights of December 23 and 24, 24 and 25 and December 31 and January 1 when curfew would be imposed from 12 midnight to 4 am.

The respective District Magistrates shall issue orders accordingly, said the order.

However other restrictions notified earlier shall remain in force and community feasting should be avoided, it added.

It may be mentioned that with the approaching Christmas and New Year, some organisations had requested relaxations, said the order.
