SDCC observes 15th death anniversary of Lt Lucy Chisa Mao

Senapati District Consumers' Club (SDCC) on Monday commemorated the 15th death anniversary of Late Lucy Chisa Mao, member, Action Committee, SDCC at Kaibi village, Senapati district.
Late Lucy Chisa Mao succumbed to injuries at Dibrugarh Hospital on this day in 2006.The programme was organised to remember the sacrifices and heroic deeds of the late leader for the welfare of the people.
Speaking on the occasion, Paul Leo, advisor SDCC stated that Lucy Chisa Mao was a dedicated worker and strong advocate of people's rights and welfare.
Karong Senapati Town Committee president, A John lauded SDCC for taking up various welfare activities and stated the club has reduced corruption in various spheres through its operations.
Daughter of the late leader, Kayie Christine expressed her gratitude to SDCC for remembering her mother even after 15 years.
During the programme, a one minute silent prayer was offered to honour the departed soul.
Wreath laying was also taken up by Karong Senapati Town Committee (KSTC), Senapati District Women's Association (SDWA), Senapati District Students Association (SDSA) and others.
Social leaders, Church leaders and members of Mao Naga Women Welfare Association also attended the programme.
