1 hurt in blast

Imphal, November 22 2012:
At least one person has been seriously wounded when a powerful bomb exploded near the office complex of Youth Development Club located along Manipur College Road, Chingamathak at around 5:50 pm today.
The victim has been identified as Naorem Ibomcha (28), s/o late N Kunjo of Chingamathak Manipur College Road, who works in a nearby fish centre.
He received multiple bomb splinter injuries on his face, chest, stomach and legs and has been admitted to RIMS for treatment where his condition is said to be serious.
Hearing the thundering sound of the blast, Naorem Ongbi Soro, mother of the injured Ibomcha, and his two cousin sisters namely N Anita and N Bijeta were also reportedly fainted.
All three of them have also been treated at RIMS.
On the other hand, One kg of RDX was found fixed on the way to Kongjom Slopeland Public School along NH-2 under Wangjing police station of Thoubal district at around noon today.
The explosive was found wrapped in plastic bags with 2 grenades and electric detonator of 6 batteries of 3 volts each.
One local who came across the suspicious looking object while digging earth informed the police.
Later on, personnel of 15 AR and bomb experts of the State police came and diffused the bomb safely.
