Imphal, October 22 2021: Students' unions of Shri Shri Balmukunda Dev Music College (SSBMDMC) and Government Dance College (GDC) submitted a memorandum to the Vice Chancellor of Manipur University of Culture retirating their stand of not affiliating with MUC.

The students' unions said MUC had taken resolutions earlier not to affiliate or collaborate with the SSBMDMC, GDC and JN Dance Academy earlier and not allowed admission of students from these colleges/institutions to PG courses in MUC, said the memorandum submitted to VC MUC.

With the number of students getting admission to UG and PG courses in the university becoming very low, MUC had been trying to lure students and teachers of the three colleges to join MUC, added the memorandum.

The students' unions warned MUC not to try and lure teachers (gurus) from the 3 institutes on the promise of good academic posts in MUC and appealed to all the teachers not to believe in such false promises.
