Cabinet decides to lift ban on recruitment

Imphal, June 22 2016:
The State Cabinet has decided to lift the ban imposed on direct recruitment of Government employees.
The Cabinet meeting which began from 3 pm today with Chief Minister Okram Ibobi in the chair also gave its nod to creation of 125 posts of Manipur Legislative Assembly Secretariat including eight Legal Officers, two Legal Assistants and six Reporters Grade-III, said Government spokesperson and RD & PR Minister M Okendro.
The Cabinet also decided to shift ITI campus from Takyel to another convenient location, he said.
On the other hand, the Cabinet also gave its nod to hand over Loukoipat to the State Tourism Department to develop the lake as a tourist destination.
The Cabinet also decided to hand over 4.055 acres of land to the State Tourism Department to develop Imphal War Museum (WW-II) and War Memorial Complex at Maibam Lotpaching.
The State Cabinet also gave its nod to creation of different posts of Manipur Technical University, the Minister said.
