Imphal, February 22 2016: The Anal Naga Union has urged the authority concerned to re- pair the bailey bridge at Liwai Saru including Pallel-Chandel road before the onset of monsoon.

The bailey bridge which serves as an important means of connectivity has not been repaired for the last many years.

The bridge should be frequently repaired if its importance are taken into account.

The deplorable condition of the bridge would further deteriorate if it is not repaired before the monsson season, the union said.

Pallel-Chandel road is a route used not only by the neighbouring villagers.

Required attention and importance should be given in order to provide better connectivity to the commuters.

The union further said that CSOs and general public of Chandel should work together regarding the matter and ensure required developmental works are implemented in the district.
