MBCC appeals CM to materialise assurance

Imphal, February 21 2021: Moirang Block Congress Committee (MBCC) has urged Chief Minister N Biren Singh to implement the assurance given of assessing irregularity cases at Moirang Municipal Council by forming a Special Investigation Team (SIT) within two months time.

Addressing a press meet, MBCC secretary M Sharat Singh said that N Biren gave the assurance on the floor of the House on February 19 while responding to a cut motion raised by MPCC president Govindas Konthoujam.

Sharat urged the Chief Minister not to forget the assurance given after the Assembly session.

Further appealing to all concerned to bring all who misappropriated funds sanctioned to the Council to book, he cautioned that forgetting the assurance given after the Assembly session would invite agitation.

The press meet was also attended by Bishnupur District Congress Committee executive member H Sarat Singh and several office bearers of MBCC.
