Magisterial Inquiry ordered into killing

Imphal, March 20 2012: SDM Wangoi has invited any person willing to give oral evidence or produce any material/documents before the Inquiry Magistrate in connection with the alleged encounter killing of Sanasam David Singh (25) of Sawombung Gate under Imphal West district by a combined team of Imphal East, Imphal West districts police commandos and a column of 9 Sector AR at Langthabal Phuramakhong on February 4 last to submit his/her particulars to the SDM Wangoi before March 26 .

A notification issued by the SDM of Wangoi Ksh Lemba Singh said that a Magisterial Enquiry has been ordered into the alleged killing by the Executive Magistrate, Imphal West vide a Government Order No 2/1(13)/2012-H dated 2nd March, 2012 .

The enquiry would be conducted in the Camp Office of the SDM, Wangoi, Imphal West at Room No H-18 of the Office Complex of the Deputy Commissioner, Imphal West.

The terms of reference of the enquiry included facts and circumstances leading to the incident, analysis of the facts and circumstances, finding based on the facts and circumstances and analysis and recommendations to prevent recurrence of such incidents in future, it stated.
