Chandel, December 19 2017: The Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, Chandel Unit organised a one day special outreach programme on Integrated campaign on Intensified Mission Indradhanush, Mission Parivar Vikas, Tuberculosis and Leprosy at Teiyang village in Chandel district today .

Speaking on the occasion as the chief guest, SDO Chakpikarong Rang David Kung lauded the State Government of India for giving a common platform to all stakeholders including district administration and health department officials and organising such programme .

He urged the villagers to be more open to health initiatives and programmes of the Government .

Regional Director, DFP Nagaland & Manipur Region, Mangjangam Touthang attended the programme as president while Assistant Commissioner Chandel, N Sokhongam Baite and chief of Teiyang village, Thangkhomang Touthang as guests of honour .

District Immunisation Officer Dr Lakshmi Thumlip, District Leprosy Officer Chandel Dr Tongen and Medical Officer District TB Centre Chandel Dr A Richard spoke at the function as resource persons .

Around 140 people attended the programme followed by a healthy baby show and a on-the-spot competition .

Earlier, a public rally was flagged off by the chief guest.
