NSCN-K discusses with CFMG

Cases of extortion and carrying of arms were discussed today between the NSCN-K's Cease Fire Supervisory Board (CFSB) and the Government of India's Cease Fire Monitoring Group (CFMG) at Chumukedima Police Complex here today.
NSCN-K's CFSB delegation was led by its supervisor Wangtin Naga while New Delhi's CFMG was led by its chairman Lieut Gen (Rtd) NK Singh.
CFSB secretary Khekaho Rochill also one of the NSCN-K leaders who accompanied Wangtin Naga.
P.F.Zeliang, IGP (Nagaland Government), Amit Taneja, DIG of CRPF, Major General MM Naravane, IGAR-North are some of the officials that assisted Lieut Gen (Rtd) NK Singh in the meeting.
Today's meeting was a routine one held between the CFMG and CFSB after 17 months.
During the meeting, it had resolved certain minor misunderstandings cropped up between the NSCN-K and the Government in recent time.
The raid of the NSCN-K confinement in Mon district of Nagaland by the Assam Rifles, the cases of extortion, the recoveries of arms from the cadres of NSCN-K were discussed today.
After the meeting, Wangtin Naga told the media that they collect 'tax' but the Government termd it as 'extortion' .
