Imphal, December 17 2024: Three non local men were pulled up by police today for not possessing the mandatory ILP cards.

Three non locals identified as Sukhari Shah (49) s/ o Phalguni Shah of Bhatoloa, Bihar, presently staying at Paona Keithel, Bittu Kumar Sah (21) s/o Sunil Sah of Ara, Bihar, presently staying at Kakhulong, Paona Keithel and Ankit Kumar (19) s/o Ramsevak Prasad of Bihar, presently staying at Kakhu-long, Paona Keithel were arrested by a team of City Police Station today morning for not possessing valid Inner Line Permit cards.

They were produced before the SDM Imphal under 128 BNS and the Executive Magistrate convicted them with a fine of Rs 6,000 each.

The Executive Magistrate also directed police to push them back up to Mao Gate, sources said.

Subsequently, the convicted non locals were directed to report at Inner Line Permit Cell, Mao Gate for further formalities, said the sources.
