Shija Foundation holds graduation ceremony

Shija Foundation marked a significant milestone with the celebration of its 1st Graduation Ceremony on Thursday, at Laimanai Apunba Community Hall (SAHS Auditorium 2) in Langol Laimanai, Imphal.
A total of 55 students received their degrees during the ceremony (28 of 1st Batch BSc Nursing and 27 of 2nd Batch BSc Nursing) .
The ceremony was graced by Prof W Chandbabu Singh, Registrar, Manipur University, Chanchipur; Professor Ch Ibohal Meitei, President, Shija Foundation, Langol and Dr Ch Babita Devi, Principal, Shija Academy of Nursing, Langol as the chief guest, president & chairperson respectively.
Dr Kh Palin, Chairman cum Managing Director, Shija Hospitals & Research Institute (SHRI); Dr M Amuba Singh, Director, Shaija Academy of Health Sciences; Dr A Jamuna Devi, Registrar, Manipur Nursing Council and Thokchom Suresh Singh, Secretary, Shija Foundation also attended the ceremony as guest of honours.
The ceremony began with the unfurling of a flag followed by lighting of the inaugural lamp.
At the event the dignitaries congratulated the successfill students and urged them to serve the patients with compassion & extreme care without any discrimination based on colour, caste or creed.
They also highlighted the key role of nurses in developing the health sector apart from the contributions of the doctors and availability of advanced equipment and healthcare facilities.
Distribution of certificates and taking the nursing oath by the students were the main highlights of the event.
