Tamenglong, February 15 2016: Under the aegis of National Health Mission, the District Health Mission Society (DHMS), Tamenglong organised the 10th Surgical Outreach Mission at the district hospital on February 12 and 13 .

A medical team of JNIMS, Imphal led by Dr N Jitendra operated 31 patients during the outreach programme. Tamenglong CMO Dr Chambo Gonmei has extended heartfelt gratitude to the medical team for initiating such humanitarian deed and alleviating the suffering of the peo- ple. The CMO said that 230 patients have been operated successfully under the outreach mission till now. To improve the medical services, the district hospital is now equipped with blood storage centre.

Free baseline in- vestigation for PLWHIV and for those who are under ART has also been set up.
