People visiting Khuga dam area to be monitored

CCpur, January 15 2020: People visiting Khuga dam and its surrounding areas will now have to adhere on a stricter norm, as the district authorities have on Wednesday decided to check undesirable loss of human life and put in place several safety measures, particularly for those entering the water body.

A meeting chaired by the Deputy Commissioner Churachandpur Pawan Yadav yesterday decided that all parks and resorts located along the Khuga Lake will have to wear life-vest.

They have also decided that the Water Resource Department must put up signage warning people to refrain from entering the lake.

The meeting also decided that all those visiting the area should mandatorily arrange a guide.

The ADC Churachandpur will be responsible for clearing plastic and other waste from the area while those running resorts and parks are to maintain a proper waste disposal system.
