Bishnupur, October 14 2024: The Vishnu Art & Culture Research and Training Centre (VACRTC) organised a workshop cum production on Manipuri Nat-Sankirtana Cholom today at Shri Shri Abdeita Prabhu Temple Mandap, Bishnupur Ward No 4 .

The workshop cum production was sponsored by the Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi.

The event was graced by B Badeinarayan Sharma, IAS, retd Principal Secretary, as the chief guest; Professor Th Yaima Singh, Principal, VACRTC as the functional president and M Bilkee Singh, secretary, VACRTC as the guest of honour.

Speaking in this connection, B Badeinarayan Sharma stressed on the need for people to provide patronage to one's culture.

Every community in different parts of the world has their own unique culture.

Culture displays the customs of a land to outsiders, he said.

Thus, he urged everyone dipping their toes in the world of art and culture to pour their efforts into protecting and conserving it.

As a part of the ceremony, male and female artists of VACRTC showcased different Manipuri Nat-Sankirtana Cholom performances before an enraptured audience.
