Maram Battalion distributes essential commodities

Senapati, August 14 2021: Maram Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of Jwalamukhi Sector/IGAR (E) distributed essential food items including rice, wheat, eggs, etc to the needy families staying in the interior of villages with the help of local volunteers yesterday.

To celebrate the 75th Independence Day, Assam Rifles with the assistance of local volunteers provided ration and other essentials to bring smile on the face of less fortunate families during the hard time of covid-19 pandemic.

The volunteer team assisted in identifying the less fortunate and needy families located in interior parts of Mao Sub-Division to distribute the relief items.

Mao Company Commander also interacted with the volunteers & villagers "and assured them of further assistance in the future while conveying Independence Day wishes on behalf of Assam Rifles.

The locals lauded the efforts of Assam Rifles and expressed their gratitude for the gifts.
