Imphal, April 13 2019:
"All National political parties do is war against each other.
BJP, Congress and CPI are all traders (lalonba)," said Narengbam Samarjit, NEIDP CWC president today.
Speaking at a political awareness programme held at Hiyangthang Maning Leikai Community Hall, Samarjit said that the 'people are suffering as a result of the more than 70 years of National parties rule in the Centre and the State' .
NEIDP Manipur State vice president and former MLA I Ibohalbi said that the Citizenship Amendment Bill is a threat to the North-East States.
Despite the knowledge that people of the North-East States are against the Bill, BJP president had promised to bring back CAB in Assam.
Now they (BJP) have included CAB in their manifesto.
It is unfortunate and condemnable, he said and alleged that National parties are adopting divide and rule policy in the State.
"As many as 1,528 people have lost their lives in years of Congress rule in the State.
Cases of extrajudicial killings are still going on in the Supreme Court.
Now it is time people understand their voting rights," he said appealing people to vote for the regional party (NEIDP) .
The party also organised a public meeting at Khundrakpam Pangalba Community Hall today.
NEIDP Inner Parliamentary candidate RK Anand and party leaders attended the event.
