Archives week celebrated at Khoirentak

Manipur State Archives celebrated the 33rd Archives Week at Khoirentak Khuman of Churachandpur district.
Kom Cultural Dance Centre president K Lenersong, Thangjing Yageirel member K Jugeshwar, joint secretary M Nodia, Khoirentak Khuman village secretary S Achon Kom were the presidium members of the function.
Speaking at the function, Archives Deputy Director K Sushila said, every human civilization left behind the traces of its civilization through carvings on wood, stone and iron etc.
Archives units have been set up all over the world to preserve such artifacts.
She also mentioned about the importance of celebration of archives week in her speech.

Speaking on the context of Manipur, Sushila said that although it is well indicated from the age old artifacts that people residing in the State were originated together, religious thoughts which came later had become one of the reasons for disharmony.
An exhibition of age-old artefcats was also organised in the function.
