YDC observes its foundation day

In a function held to observe the foundation day of Youth Development Committee (YDC), Wangkhem AC MLA Keisham Meghachandra highlighted the role of youth stating that the youth should actively participate in any way which will bring development to the locality or the State.
He said, "To improve the economy of the State, every necessary preparations have been made to build an inter village road worth Rs 7-8 crore for the first time from Yairipok Heitroipokpi which passes through Khoirom, Kekru and leads to Pechi." The new development will be convenient for farmers, he stated.
The MLA lauded the various developmental initiatives taken up by YDC.
The ceremony was attended by Leirongthel-Ningel Gram Panchayat Pradhan and YDC advisor Salam Kumar as president, Wangkhem Zilla Parishad member Khundrakpam Sobha Meetei and other dignitaries also attended the ceremony.
As a part of the ceremony, the president of the function handed out the souvenir of YDC.
Meanwhile, players who came from various parts of Manipur participated in a Polo exhibition match.
