TKS opposes allocation of NIOS exam centre

Ukhrul, April 11 2015 : Tangkhul Student Union (TKS) has strongly opposed the allocation of National Institute of Open Schooling Examination Centre at JNV Lambui, Ukhrul, reports Mungchan Zimik.

TKS president Joel Angkang in his statement said that JNV Lambui is 28 kilometres away from the district Headquarters and has poor accommodation facilities.

Most of the students are from poor families and therefore cannot incur huge expense.

TKS has blamed the Regional Director for allocating NIOS exami centre at JNV Lambui and urged the authority concerned to review the decision and shift the examination centre within the proximity of the district Headquarters.

TKS also warned to resorting to rigorous agitation if the authority fails to meet their demand.
