Education campaign cum school inspection concludes

The first phase Liangmai Naga Katimai Ruangdi (LNKR) Apex Body Education Campaign cum School Inspection, which began on March 5 at guest house, Tamei HQs concluded today.
The closing event was held at United Baptist Church, Tamenglong.
A press release issued by information and publicity secretary LNKR stated that the campaign was conducted at three blocks namely Tamenglong Tousem and Tamei.
SDC Tamei kicked off the campaign in the presence of Rev Z Mairilungbou, ES LNBA (M) and other frontal leaders.
During the school inspection, the Union found that most of the schools neglected by the authority concerned, it said.
Lack of teaching staff, incomplete school building, absence of proper toilet and water facilities, furniture, computer etc, the union added.
The union found some teachers failing to submit their joining report and headmasters neglecting to such issues and matters concerning the welfare of the schools.
It added that funds of SMDC were also found misued at some schools.
Considering all the unethical practices and the insufficiencies at the schools, the union has appealed the authority concerned to look into the matter immediately while cautioning that the union will take up befitting action if their grievances are not heard.
The union further lauded each individual and organisation who extended all possible support to the union.
