MU organises orientation programme on iGOT Karmayogi platform

An orientation programme on iGOT Karmayogi Platform was organised at the Court Hall of Manipur University yesterday.
According to a press release issued by Dr Sakila Nongmeikapam, Public Relations Officer, the programme was organised with an aim to create awareness on iGOT Karmayogi Platform among non-teaching employees.
Notably, iGOT (Integrated Government Online Training) is a digital platform for Government employees, designed to enhance their learning and development throughout their careers.
In his introductory speech, Punsiba Toijam, Assistant Registrar and Nodal Officer, iGOT Karmayogi Platform, highlighted the importance of iGOT Karmayogi platform in bringing efficiency in today's technology-driven workplace.
He urged University employees to embrace change through upskilling and training to compete with other premiere institutions.
In his insightful speech, Professor W Chandbabu Singh, Registrar, MU, said that the iGOT Karmayogi platform is a Government initiative which provides online and offline training at the comfort of their workplace.
He pointed out that knowledge, attitude, skill and habit (KASH) are prerequisites in today's global workforce.
He urged the non-teaching staff to inculcate the habit of taking up new courses, enhancing productivity and relevance in the work environment.
Further highlighting the importance of a technology-driven work environment, he expressed his keen interest to launch an e-office to facilitate administrative work.
Addressing the gathering as guest of honour, Tokpam Shantikumar, Controller of Examinations, MU, urged the participants to take full advantage of iGOT Karmayogi platform, which has been empowering Government employees since the time of its inception.
The programme benefited attendees and non-teaching employees of the university.
