NPP rejoices

Lauding the announcement by Union Home Minister Amit Shah that Inner Line Permit System (ILPS) will be enforced in the State, National People's Party (NPP) gathered at Nupi Lan complex today to celebrate the development.
Deputy Chief Minister Y Joykumar, Tribal and Hill Areas Department and Fisheries Minister N Kayisii as well as a large number of NPP workers and members were present at the event.
Speaking to media persons on the sideline of the event, Y Joykumar said that the people of Manipur have been demanding implementation of ILPS in the State for the protection of the indigenous population and added that the NPP warmly welcomes yesterday's announcement to extend ILPS to Manipur.
Joykumar then opined that Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) will have no effect in Manipur now and expressed faith in the Central Government that it will take the right decision concerning the process of ILPS, NRC and CAB.
