'We Ring The Bell' campaign kicks off

Imphal, March 10 2021: 'We Ring The Bell to School including Children with Disability' campaign was launched today at SK Ideal School Ngairangbam, Imphal West.

The campaign is organised by Handicapped Development Fouridation Manipur, Jan Vikas Samiti Varanasi and Liliane Fonds as a part of We Ring The Bell Campaign which is a global advocacy campaign for the promotion of disability and to facilitate the enrolment of Children with Disabilities in mainstream education system.

The opening ceremony of the campaign which will be conducted till March 25 was graced by L Dhaneshwor, Deputy Director (Disability), Social Welfare Department, T Babudhon Singh, Headmaster of SK Ideal High School, Dr Sapam Jasowanta Singh Chairman of Handicapped Development Foundation Manipur and L Amarendra Sharma (MRW) State Commission for Persons with Disability as the presidium members.

Around 100 children, teachers, Government officials and media persons also attended the event.

Leaflet, manifesto were distributed and a signature campaign was also done as a part of the event.
