Bishnupur resumes Meeyamgi Numit

Bishnupur, January 10 2025:
The District Administration Bishnupur, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Lourembam Bikram, today resumed organising Meeyamgi Numitat Panchayat Resource Centre Hall, Mini Secretariat complex, Bishnupur.
During the event, around 500 people turn up seeking various Government services.
More than 30 stalls of different departments rendering services like issuance of Birth certificates, PMJAY cards, CMHT cards, Aadhar enrolment, quota inclusion for ration cards, new enrolment in employment exchange, inmate certificate issuance for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) staying outside relief camp, etc were set up at the PRC Hall.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner, Lourembam Bikram said that Meeyamgi Numit will now be held on the first Saturday of every month.
The initiative, which was halted for a long time due to the law and order concerns, will be resumed as per the directive of the Government, he added.
The DC emphasized the Government's commitment to improving public access to Government services.
Meeyamgi Numit provides a great opportunity for citizens to access Government services.
The initiative focuses on minimizing inconvenience for the public in accessing such services, he added.
Delivering Government benefits and services with minimal inconvenience is a key priority for us and we must ensure that the public is served effectively and efficiently, said the DC.
The District Administration will also explore the possibility of organizing Meeyamgi Numit at the Gram Panchayat level in the future, extending the reach of Government services beyond the Mini Secretariat, said the DC.
The DC also expressed gratitude to the public for turning up in large numbers and contributing to the success of Meeyamgi Numit.
He also urged the public to continue coming forward with any concerns or suggestions.
Public feedback is crucial to enhancing the administration and improving the delivery of Government schemes and projects, he added.
The event was also attended by ADM Bishnupur, Toijam Opendro Singh, AC to DC S Gunamani Singh, SDOs, BDOs, and all the district-level officers.
