Murder case of Meghachandra solved

Imphal, November 09, 2013:
Solving the case related to murder of Hawaibam Meghachandra, police have arrested the brother-in-law of the victim.
Meanwhile, an angry mob has burned down the house of the accused brother in law to ashes.
The accused brother-in-law identified as Arambam Rogen (48) also hails from Meghachandra's locality Lilong Chajing Mairenkhong in Imphal West district.
Rogen is the brother of Meghachandra''s wife.
Singjamei police arrested the accused from his house last night.
The accused confessed to the crime during interrogation.
As the news of the arrest of Rogen spread this morning, an irate mob attacked the house of the accused and later set it on fire.
Some other belongings of the house, including one motorcycle were also set aflame at the courtyard before the house was dismantled and set ablaze.
With the case solved, the bereaved family members claimed the body of Meghachandra which had been lying at the mortuary of RIMS since Nov 5 and performed the last rite to the departed soul today.
