PHE Minister comes to rescue of stranded fliers

Senapati, June 09 2020: Hearing the prayers of stranded and exhausted 42 fliers who were caught in confusion over transportation issue, PHE Minister Losii Dikho came to their rescue and helped them reach quarantine centre.

They arrived at Bir Tikendrajit International airport at around 11.30 am were left "clueless" and stranded without food and other necessities till 8.30 pm at HRD Academy Imphal.

With just one bus available, the group frantically called authorities concerned and some local leaders for necessary arrangement but failed to yield positive results.

The district administration has been arranging buses from airport to district quarantine centres, however due to different timing of flights, there is lapses, said sources.

Finally, hearing the SOS call, PHE Minister Losii Dikho swung into action with his PA Mathibo immediately arranging food items and two additional buses to transport the team.

The buses finally reached respective quarantine centre the next morning around 1.30 am .

The group thanked Minister Dikho, his PA Mathibo and SDO concerned for prompt response and care.
