National People's Party winds up campaign at Kangpokpi DHQs in style

Kangpokpi, April 09 2019:
The National People's Party (NPP) culminated its intense campaigning for its Outer Manipur PC candidate Thangminlen Kipgen today at Kangpokpi District Headquarters with huge response from the general public.
Hundreds of NPP supporters from various communities across the district attended the last campaign at Community Hall, Kangpokpi DHQs.
Addressing the mammoth gathering, NPP candidate Thangminlen Kipgen said that it is with an aim to make Delhi heard the voice of the North East people including Manipur that NPP decided to field a candidate in the Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency and that 'responsibility was given to me by NPP National president' .
He continued that NPP as always has an unbending opposition to the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) when it was first introduced by the BJP Government.
The party will continue to oppose it (CAB) openly till it is scrapped, he said.
The NPP candidate also said that the Central Government from Delhi cannot decide with their own whims and fancy about the fate of the North East people while adding that 'we shall unite to make our voice heard in the Parliament' .
"It is time, North East States must wake up from their deep slumber and come together in unison and stand for one another in the platform of NPP, the only regional party standing for the cause of the North East people", he added.
Accusing the BJP led Govt of corruption, Thangminlen Kipgen asked the people of Kangpokpi where is the 185 crore promise by Chief Minister N Biren Singh and added that Nute Kailhang in Kangpokpi was supposed to be constructed with a cost of 10 cr but it was constructed only with 5 cr .
Where has the Rs 5 cr gone? he asked.
He also slammed the Congress party of sponsoring a 'defaulter' in bank for representing the people in the Parliament and asked 'if such corrupted person seat in the Parliament, what will be the fate of the people whom he represents' .
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister also held a press conference at Thangminlen Kipgen residence at Kangpokpi DHQs and highlighted the stand of NPP over CAB.
When asked the stand of NPP after BJP includes CAB in its manifesto, Dy CM Joy Kumar said that the NPP will definitely take good enough decision for the North-East people over the issue.
"BJP is very much aware of the NPP stand against CAB," he said.
Health Minister Jayanta also attended the press conference including the NPP candidate Thangminlen Kipgen.
