Death of Senapati Youth: NNC pulls up NSCN (IM)

Dimapur, February 09 2014: The Shepoumaramth Region, Federal Government of Nagaland/Naga National Council (FGN/NNC) alleged that Akha Shepou was tortured before he was murdered by the NSCN-IM .

Express its grief and anguish over the murder of Akha Shepou of Tungjoy village, Senapati district few days ago, NNC said Akha Shepou was abducted by the NSCN-IM from Sanapati town and subsequently killed him without any reason.

"Akha Shepou was inhumanly tortured, nailed, rolled by burning iron rod, bones of hands and legs fractured and crushed his head.

Such satanic cultures and practices of the NSCN-IM must be condemned by one and all and chase them out from our land," the NNC stated.

It then earnestly appealed to the Shepoumaramth public, church leaders, NGO leaders, social workers and 'fellow Nagas' to condemn such acts of 'terrorism' and unitedly fight against such evil forces, lest much more fellow Nagas will be murdered in the days to come.
