Chandel, October 08 2015: Rural Education and Action for Change-Manipur (REACH-M) today distributed relief materials to flood and landslides affected villagers of the district under Machi and Tengnoupal Blocks, reports our correspondent.

The distribution programme was graced by Julie Daryal, Sub-Divisional Officer, Machi and Reverend Hormi Kountim, chairman, REACH-M as the chief guest and president.

Blankets, CGI sheets, plastic pipes and other relief items were distributed to the flood affected villagers under Machi and Tengnoupal Blocks.

The distribution programme was also attended by Modhuchandra Singh, Research Assistant, District Planning, Chandel, M Tongpao Haokip, secretary, REACH-M and Lalam Mate, president, All Tribal Women Organisation (ATWO), Chandel.

Speaking at the function, Julie Daryal said that the State Government has assisted the flood victims by providing various relief materials.

Detailed report of destruction caused by recent calamities has been submitted to the State Government in order to provide further relief materials to the flood affected people of the State, Julie Daryal added.
