Issues of physiotherapists will be addressed, says H Dingo

Social Welfare Minister H Dingo has assured to take up the issues faced by the physiotherapists in the State to the Minister concerned.
He gave the above assurance while speaking at the World Physical Therapy Day observation held under the theme 'Osteoarthritis' at the Sangai Hall of Hotel Imphal today organised by All Manipur Physiotherapist Association (AMPA) .
The Minister also acknowledged the dedicated services of physiotherapists and highlighted their enormous contribution in the health sector.
However he expressed discontentment to find out that they face a number of problems and maintained that he will extend all possible help to solve such issues.

Keirao AC MLA, Lourembam Rameshwor; Lamlai AC MLA, Kh Ibomcha; Health Services Manipur Director, Dr Kh Shasheekumar Mangang and former president of ICHAM, N Rajendro also graced the occasion as presidium members.
With regards to the observation, AMPA president, Dr Longjam Robindro Singh said that the observation is organised by AMPA to honour the physiotherapists of the State.
Stressing on the problems faced by the physiotherapists in the State such as low pay scale, absence of a separate council of physiotherapists etc, he sought the attention of the authorities concerned to address these issues at the earliest.
During the observation, senior and retired physiotherapists were honoured with lifetime mementos.
Also physiotherapists who have received different awards were honoured today.
As a part of the observation stalls of Matai Rehabilitation Care Centre (MRCC), Diagnosed Instruments Lalambung, Medilane, Apunba Agency, Biomedical Engineering Services and AMPA were opened to raise awareness about the various treatments of physiotherapy.
