Police detain 38 Covid violators

Imphal, September 08 2021: The State Police detained 38 (thirty eight) persons today and released after warning for violating Covid restrictions and guidelines issued by the Government and State Disaster Management Authority and fined a sum Rs 6,300 (six thousand three hundred) as per law.

The cumulative figure of people detained now stands at 1,56,010 (One lakh fifty six thousand and ten) while the cumulative fine collected till date is 2,57,49, 660 (Two crore fifty seven lakh forty nine thousand six hundred and sixty) .

The Police Department warned that those who violate the guidelines and restrictions shall be dealt with strong legal action under National Disaster Management Act, 2005 and other appropriate laws.
