Online classes to resume

The Federation of Government College Teachers' Associations (FEGOCTA), Manipur today said that they have decided to resume online classes and other academic activities in the interest of students considering the upcoming examinations.
The decision was arrived at a joint meeting held on September 6 attended by representatives of Manipur Government Services' Federation (MGSF), FEGOCTA, MSSA and other Government employees' associations, said FEGOCTA in a release.
However, FEGOCTA will rejoin the agitation after the completion of the exams for resolving the 7th Pay issue and in the common interest of the employees, it said.
FEGOCTA also said that during a meeting with the Education Minister and the Commissioner of Higher Education, they have been assured that there is progress in the process to implement the 7th UGC Pay and Regulations 2018 .
Meanwhile, Dhanamanjuri College of Science Teachers' Association (DMCOSTA) has also said that they decided to suspend the decision to boycott all academic activities and resume normal duties in the interest of the students and also in view of the positive developments regarding 7th Pay for the college teachers.
DMCOSTA said the decision was taken in clear understanding with FEGOCTA and Manipur Government Services' Federation (MGSF) .
