Cattle vaccination prog concludes

Bishnupur, February 08 2019: A vaccination programme conducted since January 15, this year at the encircling villages of Keibul Lamjao National with an aim to prevent spreading of several communicable diseases from domesticated animals to the animal inhabited inside National park including Sangai concluded today.

The closing ceremony of the vaccination programme which was jointly organised by Park and Sanctuary Division Government of Manipur Keibul Lamjao National Park, Wild Life Institute of India and Veterinary Department was attended by Deputy Chief Conservator of Forest Park and Sanctuary Keibul Lamjao National Park, Ajita Longjam; RO-1 Keibul Lamjao National Park N Birachandra; RO-2 KLNPS, S Nabakumar and Dy ROT Gyanic as the dignitaries.

During the programme which was conducted under the supervision of Wild Life Institute of India, Project Associate, Dr Manoharmayum Vikramjit Sharma and Veterinary Dept field officer, S Mangi, over 500 domestic animals like cow, buffalo, pig and hen were vaccinated.
