Civic Action Programme conducted at various places

The 152 Battalion CRPF, under the aegis of the lG Manipur and Nagaland Sector, CRPF, conducted a Civic Action Programme at Khongnangpokpi, Imphal West on Wednesday.
As part of the programme, 152 Bn CRPF distributed mosquito nets, badminton rackets, shuttlecock, and shoes to the needy people of the area.
The programme was attended by Love Kumar, PMG, Commandant, 152 Bn CRPF as the chief guest, said a release issued by CRPF.
Suresh Kumar, 2IC; Jasmat Kumar, OC of G/152; other personnel of the Unit and people of Khongnangpokpi & nearby villages were also present in the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Love Kumar highlighted the inherent spirit of the Civic Action Programme as a welfare measure for local people, bridging the gap between the forces and civilians and an attempt to bring a qualitative change in the life of the local public.
He stressed that CRPF is committed to its social obligations and will continue to carry out similar Civic Action Programmes in the future and will make all efforts towards bringing an improvement in the life of local people.
The socially productive work undertaken by 152 Bn, CRPF, Imphal West was appreciated by the village chief and residents of Khongnangpokpi village.
Moreover, A/120 Bn CRPF, Old Lambulane, under the aegis of Dr Vipul Kumar, IPS, Inspector General Manipur & Nagaland Sector, CRPF and supervision of Rajeev Lochan, Commandant, 120 Bn CRPF, also conducted a Civic Action Programme at Kachikhul village, Imphal West.
The programme began with songs from little girls of Kachikhul village followed by distribution of sports items such as T-shirts, shorts, shoes, socks, volleyballs, volleyball nets, etc to the residents of Sangaithel & Kachikhul villages.
Later, volleyball matches were held between the two villages (Kachikhul & Sangaithel), The Commandant of 120 Bn CRPF distributed prizes to the winning team of Kachikhul village and runner up team of Sangaithel village.
The programme was attended by Sudhir Kumar, Asstt Comdt, 120 Bn CRPF; Insp/GD Rajender Singh, A/120 Bn CRPF and Second IC/PS-Patsoi, SI, N Gopeshwor Singh; Shyamjai Singh, Kachikhul village president; H Inocha Singh, Kachikhul village Secretary; L Iboyaima, Kachikhul village club president; Bimol Meitei, Sangaithel village club president among others.
Similarly, 69 Bn CRPF, Mantripukhri under the aegis of the IG M&N Sector CRPF also conducted a Civic Action programme at multipurpose community hall, Tangkhul Avenue, Imphal East today.
As part of the programme, repair cum renovation work of the community hall was undertaken which has been a long standing requirement of the local community.
The programme was attended by SA Rojan Zimik, Commandant, 69 Bn CRPF; Harjilal Bairwa, Second-in-Command; Yogendra Kr Mishra, Dy Commandant; chairman of the local authority and people of the area.
