The 11 hours bandh called in North-East States also affected normal life in Jiribam district.
However, no unwanted incident was reported in the district.
The bandh was called by North-East Students' Organisation (NESO) and was supported by All Manipur Students' Union other student organisations in Manipur.
AMSU Jiribam District Committee, president Y Sanjib Singh said that the Citizenship Amendment Bill 2016 is against the interest of the people of the North-East and should not be passed in the Parliament.
The Bill will encourage migrants influx in North-East, he said.

It may be mentioned that the Lok Sabha today passed the Citizenship Bill amidst protests across North-East States.
Meanwhile, at least 16 leaders of Assam Indigenous People Protection Committee (AIPPC), Manipuri Youth Front of Assam (MYFA), All Assam Students Union (AASU) and Assam Manipuri Muslim Youths Front (AMMYF) have been reportedly arrested by the police, said sources.
