Imphal, September 07 2021: A team of Narcotics and Affairs of Bor-der (NAB) Manipur arrested one 29 years old Lunkhohen Haokip along with one lakh WY Methamphetamine tablets from Ngariyan village on Old Cachar road this afternoon.

According to reliable information, the team, under the supervision of NAB SP K Meghachandra, carried out a frisking and checking drive on Old Cachar road on receiving inputs about illegal transportation of banned drug items along the road stretch, during which one Tata Sumo coming toward Jiribam from Bishnupur side was detained.

On checking, the team seized one lakh WY tablets from the fuel tank of the Tata Sumo.

Hence, the team arrested the driver of the vehicle who identified himself as Lunkhohen Haokip, s/o Ngulsei Haokip of N Boljang Village, Kangpokpi district.

A mobile handset with two Sim cards and a few documents including Aadhaar, voter and Pan cards were seized from him.

A case has been registered against Lunkhohen Haokip.
