Sitar maestro Partha Bose to visit educational institutes

Spic Macay 'Virasat Series 2019-20' of Imphal Chapter is starting from September 9 with Indian Sitar Maestro Partha Bose performing at various institutes of Manipur.
He will be accompanied by Kaushik Konwar on Tabla.
The maestro will visit and perform at Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy (JNMDA) Imphal on September 9 and JNV Khumbong and AR Public School, Keithelmanbi on September 10 .
He will also visit Sacred Heart School Porompat, Sainik School Pangei, St Anthony School, AR School Mantripukhri, Manipur University and others till September 14 .
Internationally recognised as a leading instrumentalist, Sitar maestro Partha Bose completed decades of training under Maihar Gharana Guru Pandit Monoj Shankar in 2018.International media including BBC, Voice of America, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, German Radio, Voice of Russia have featured Bose in interviews and performances.
He is recipient of Nikhil Banerjee Memorial Award & titles of Sangeet Ratna & Vadya Shiromani.
Spic Macay (Society for the promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth) works to preserve and promote rich cultural tapestry of Indian amongst youth.
'Virasat' is a festival comprising lecture, demonstrations, performances and workshop in folk and classical art, literature, craft, talks, theatre, films and yoga held in educational institutions which aims at close interaction between students and artistes.
