Field Day on rice variety RC Maniphou 13 held

Imphal, November 06 2024: A Field Day was organised by ICAR Research Complex for North Eastern Hill Region(ICAR RC NEHR) Manipur Centre in collaboration with ICAR-KVK Imphal West at Phumlou Village, Imphal West to showcase the performance of RC Maniphou 13 and its quality seed production under the Participatory mode of AICRP on Seed (Crops) Project.

Altogether, 30 farmers and seed growers participated in the Field Day, said a release issued by ICAR RC NEHR.

During the programme, Dr Konsam Sarika, Scientist (Nodal Officer of NER, AICRP on Seeds) appreciated the efforts of farmers & highlighted the importance of producing quality seeds which will be helpful to avail quality seeds for the coming kharif season.

Salam Gunamani Singh, SMS, Plant Breeding, KVK-Imphal West emphasized the scientific approaches to be followed while producing quality seeds.

Dr Th Motilal Singh and Dr Ch Roben Singh deliberated on the aspects of quality seeds and its economy.
