Imphal, August 06 2015:
With traffic movement partially restored along Imphal-Moreh highway, with the clearance of landslides at different points, about 14 light motor vehicles reached Moreh from Imphal yesterday, reports our correspondent.
These vehicles had remained stranded earlier due to the landslides.
Movement of heavy vehicles is yet to start.
Today too about 74/75 light vehicles reached Moreh from Imphal while another 60 vehicles reached Imphal from Moreh.

As heavy vehicles cannot move along the said highway, rice laden trucks, under rationing agent Thangkholun Haokip are present stranded at Saivom village.
The rice consignments are to go to Moreh.
With road connectivity remaining cut off due to landslides at Myanmar, the border town in the neighbouring country too has remained cut off, throwing the residents of Moreh into extreme hardships.
