Imphal, June 06 2019: The Indian Medical Association, Manipur State Branch observed World Environment Day 2019 by organizing a tree plantation programme in and around IMA House, Lamphelpat.

A statement said that a total of around 100 numbers of fruit bearing and decorative trees were planted on this occasion under the leadership of the newly elected MP of Manipur Dr R K Ranjan and President and State secretary of IMA-MSB Dr Shyamkumar Laishram , Dr Nelson Loitongbam along with active IMA members took part in this occasion.

MP R K Ranjan stressed that IMA should ensure the survival of today's plantations and that he will personally monitor the growth of the plants that was planted today.

IMA-MSB also assured the Hon'ble MP that all due care would be taken by the organization to sustain the trees planted today.
