Komrem Union prays for peace & unity

Imphal, July 05 2023: Komrem Union, North East India, has asserted that the Komrem community of Manipur have always enjoyed peaceful co-existence with one & all in the State and it had been the endeavour of the community at all times to maintain & strengthen the same.

"So, whenever conflicts between brothers had taken place, our hearts had bled and we had suffered silently.

The same is true with the present conflict", said Komrem Union in a release.

The Union continued that as Komrem is a small community there is nothing much the community can do except pray to God without ceasing for peace & amity to return.

"Therefore to do anything which will contribute to the escalation of the conflict is out of our minds and our hearts.

So, it pains us much when we are blamed or suspected of aiding any group or community involved in the conflict", it added.

The Union also said, "We do understand that since we are in the midst of the conflict we can be sometimes suspected but we as a community would like to assure one & all in the State that we have no intention to get involved in the present conflict in Manipur" .

Praying for restoration of peace & unity in Manipur, Komrem Union further added, "We also appeal that the present conflict be resolved through dialogue and not through violence as all of us in the State have suffered so much and the future of our innocent children are at stake" .
