Training prog for police officials start

A two-day State Level Training Programme for police officials kicked off at 1st MR Banquet Hall today.
The inaugural function, which was jointly organized by FXB India Suraksha, Manipur police and Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Rights, was attended by ADGP (Modernization) T Guite, IGP (Intelligence/NAB) Konsam Radhashyam and DIG (Crime Branch) HM Gangte as presidium members among others.
Speaking at the function, Guite stressed on the need for providing adequate knowledge about the various existing laws and Acts, while dealing with cases of crimes against women and children, to the police.
During the technical session, FXB India Suraksha representative Satya Prakash spoke on the role of police and mentioned that police personnel and officials in the State should have a wider scope of dealing human trafficking cases and child sexual abuse, saying that they are the one who have to be engaged in the cases.
