Imphal, August 03 2024: With the aim to address the mental and psychological needs of internally displaced persons (IDPs), a mental health camp was organised at Biramangol College, Relief Camp, Sawombung.

The event was spearheaded by the Department of Clinical Psychology at the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), under the supervision of Dr Sameeta Ngairangbam, Head of the Department.

The camp saw active participation from many inmates of the relief camp.

During the event, a variety of services were provided, including psychological support, coping strategies, and behavioral sessions.

These activities aimed to help the IDPs manage mental stress and trauma they have been experiencing due to their displacement.
