50th installation ceremony of Rotary Club of Imphal held

Imphal, July 03 2022: The 50th installation ceremony of Rotary Club of Imphal was organized at Rotary Bhavan, Mantripukhri today.

As per a statement, Thangjam Arunkumar Singh, MLA, Wangkhei AC was the chief guest of the event.

During programme, Pramod Jaiswal and Dr Chourjit Maibam were sworn in as president and secretary respectively of Rotary Club of Imphal for the year 2022-23 along with a new board of directors.

Various awards and scholarships were also distributed during the programme.

Some of them are- Late Akham Ibochouba Memorial Award for 'Rotary Civil Constable of the Year' to Lanchungam Kamson of SP, Imphal West, Late M Ibobi Memorial Award for 'Rotary Traffic Personnel of the Year' to Ningombam Lokendro Singh, Traffic Police, Thoubal District, Late Th Ibomcha Singh Memorial Award 'Rotary Nurse of the Year' to Okram Kamala Devi, PHC, Leimapokam, Bishnupur District, Late Shripal Chand Jain Memorial Award for 'Rotary Fireman of the Year' to N Joychandra Singh, Thoubal District, Late Shri Jhoomarmal Kashliwal Memorial Award for 'Rotary Media-person of the Year' to Nimolchand Ningombam of Naharolgi Thoudang, Rotarian Bijay Jain Memorial Award for 'Rotary Sports person of the Year' to Kumari S Bindyarani Devi, Weightlifting, Late Sinam Tomchou Singh Memorial Distribution of Hearing Aids to five needy persons, Late Sagolsem Judge Memorial Rotary Scholarship to four blind students of Ideal Blind School, Takyelpat and "Late Oja Sagolsem Indramani Memorial Scholarship" to the two best students of the children home, Dewlaland.

Late Shri Om Prakash Gulati Memorial Wheelchair was given to Kh Ingocha Singh among others.
