Imphal, June 03 2015 : Anti-AFSPA campaigner Irom Chanu Sharmila will be taken to New Delhi tomorrow for her scheduled appearance before the Metropolitan Magistrate, Patiala House Court on June 5 and 6.A reliable source said that all arrangements have been made to take Sharmila to the National capital tomorrow and she will be accompanied by a team comprising one doctor of JNIMS, two staff nurses, one lady ASI, two women police constables and an Assistant Jailor of Imphal Central jail.

It may be mentioned that a case is pending against Sharmila in Patiala House Court in connection with her hunger strike at Jantar Mantar demanding repeal of AFSPA some years back.

The Court directed the authority concerned to allow Sharmila to personally appear before the Metropolitan Magistrate, Patiala House Court on June 5 and 6 .

She had also appeared before the same Court on May 28 last year.

Sharmila has been summoned by the Court under IPC 309 regarding her hunger strike at Jantar Mantar in October 2006 .
