Aid continues to pour in for families in containment zones

As the area of Pourabi Makha Leikai, Pourabi village was declared a containment zone after a resident tested positive for the virus on August 29, relief materials and financial assistance for the people in the containment area continue to pour in.
The locality since then have been taking all measures to curb the spread of coronavirus, as well as extend help to one another.
As part of its effort, a COVID-19 Joint Task Force Pourabi was also formed.
The volunteers of the newly formed task force dropped off relief materials yesterday, comprising of rice and daal, at the doorsteps of the houses.
The people of the locality have expressed gratitude to the Manipur Police, specially the Lamlai Police Station under the aegis of 2nd OC Konsam Umananda, who have been extremely supportive and extending all sorts of help to the public, including patrolling the containment area, the statement by the COVID-19 Joint Task Force Pourabi stated.
2nd OC Konsam Umananda also provided rice, dal and other relief items to the family of the COVID-19 patient.
Member of Pourabi Part-II, Yambem Aninbala also donated Rs 1000 as financial assistance to the task force.
