UNC condemns imposition of Section 144 CrPC along NH 53

Imphal, September 02 2011: The UNC sternly condemns the imposition of Sec 144 Cr PC along NH 53 saying that it is the government's evil motive against peaceful bandh supporters.

According to the UNC, about five bandh supporetrs were injured in an in incident yesterday.

Moresh Makunga the vice president of ANSAM, DK Mothang, secretary art and culture of MSU, D Mothilphun treasurer of MSU and M Moshil, publicity secretary of MSU were thrashed at Thamnapokpi yesterday by the police, alleged the UNC.

"Creating or upgrading new districts on the pretext of administrative reaons without the consent and knowledge of Nagas will not be tolerated.

If any one defies our rightful possession of our land then the Nagas will not be responsible for any damages or injuries that might ensued," it cautioned.
