Workshop on synergy in investigation and counter insurgency operations held at Kpi

Kangpokpi, May 02 2019: With a laudable initiative of SP Kangpokpi, a joint workshop on 'Synergy in investigation and counter insurgency operations' was held for the first time in the district at Kangpokpi DHQs today.

The workshop, organized by Hemant Pandey, SP Kangpokpi at his office was attended by Brig Ravroop, Commander 59th Mountain Brigade, officers of the Maram and Jwalamukhi Battalions of Assam Rifles as well as the officers in charge of all the PS under the jurisdiction of Kangpokpi district.

SP Hemant Pandey conveyed that the workshop was organized with the objective to improve the coordination and teamwork between the police and the security forces and to create a general awareness of the nuances of operating in a counter insurgency environment.

During the workshop, he also stressed on points to be remembered before, during and after the conduct of counter insurgency operations while representatives of the Cyber Cell spoke on collection of digital evidences as well as precautions to be followed while dealing with such evidences.

ASP (Prosecution) Sangha Mita highlighted the insight on prosecution matters and awareness regarding problems faced during filing a charge sheet and mistakes in documentation regarding seizure and arrest memos with respect to witnesses.

The workshop was culminated with an interactive session where the issues faced by both security forces as well as the police were discussed for a better understanding for future synergy in conduct of operations planned for maintaining overall peace, security and order.
