Myanmar team in town on goodwill mission

Moreh/Imphal, April 02 2013: An 11-member team from Myanmar arrivedhere today on a good-will mission.

The Myanmar delegates were accorded a warm reception at Moreh today by members of Border Trade Chamber of Commerce, Moreh at the border town.

The Myanmar delegations who are on a five-day goodwill mission to the State included Minister U Kyaw Win, U Khin Maung Shwe, MP; U Thangliana, MP of Sagaing Region; U Khinmaung Zwe; U Myonyunt; U Hla Maung; U Tinshwe; U Kyawsan Win; U Aung Chin; U Ayo Ko and U Tin Aye.

Upon their arrival, the delegates surveyed the medical infrastructure at Shija Hospitals and Research Institute at Langol.

The delegates would call on Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh tomorrow besides meeting officials of Commerce and Industries Department A reliable source said that the Myanmar team would also discuss feasibility of importing power from Manipur to Myanmar with concerned officials before they leave Imphal for their country on April 6 .
